04 AUG 2011 - Another Full House for Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real!

The weather gods have been smiling on us the last few weeks and that means plenty of off Street Racing at Sydney Dragway thanks to Sydney's own Hi Tec Oils.

Over 180 of Sydney's Off Street racers filled the Pit Area and hundreds of fans took to the spectator mound to watch the action. Unfortunately we had a couple of stopages early on but after that is was full on with a pair of cars or bikes ripping down the strip every 35-40 seconds!!!

Of course the Reaction Time competition was on as usual and the good news for those that were not at this weeks Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real is that the jackpot didnt go off so that will be over $600 next week which means a perfect light will net you over $900!!!

Speaking of the Reaction Time competition Colin Candy hit a .005 on his 750 Honda at around 6.30pm and that held on for the top spot and $300 cash!

Michael Voiglander recorded a .006 in his VH Commodore for second place on his only pass as the tailshaft cried enough... and unfortunately our man Grant form Cackling Pipes Photography missed the photo op ... The good news is the $200 second place prize will go a long way to effecting repairs to his Black Commodore.

It's been a while since the bikes guys have got into the Reaction Time money and this week we had two in there...  Rounding out the Top Three and picking up $100 was Darren Folkes on his Harley Davidson Destroyer!

Also this week we had a lucky female Racer draw thanks to Heavenly Curves in Wetherill Park and Alysha Teale from Cherry Brook picked up a $50 voucher to go and spoil herself with!

Speaking Heavenly Curves one of our lucky spectators picked up a $50 dollar voucher as well!!

George from Hi Tec Oils was out there with Pinky giving away lotsa Hi Tec Oils stuff during the night.

Oh and of course there was action on track as well and as usual our Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real events bring out a variety of tough cars like Reece McDonald's 12 second Camaro.

... and Rod Hanckel's Big Block powered C10 that runs into the low elevens is one tough truck!

Tony Pisani's tidy 355 cubic inch LJ is another example of the tough 12 second streeters that are getting around Sydney and rocking up to the Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real events.

Roy Yaghi's RX3 is knocking on the door of the 12 second zone running 13.0 on the night.

As we said you always get a variety of different cars at the Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real events and George Trohidis' Lotus Exige looked the part on the track runing into the low 13s with it's 1.8L Toyota power plant.

From late model to early model and Ray St Julian's 351 Cleveland powered Model A certainly added to the spice of the night.

And back to late model with Joshua Prescott's Boss powered BA ute that ran 13.0s at 128mph (206 km/h!!!) on the night!!!

... and what would a Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real event be without out Burnout Brigade fogging the venue in and Stewart Ortiz certainly did a good job of that in his VN Calais.

Kevin Ford's 5.0L FORD was doing a good job on the Burnout Pad until things got a little hot under the collar ... Our trusty Track Crew member, Rob was on hand to offer assistance!

So that's it for another Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real event and as usual there was heaps of action with plenty of tough cars and bikes doing it in a safe and controlled environment. Remember Street Racing is NOT Drag Racing!
