12 MAY 2011 - It might have been cold but the action was hot!

With the clear days it brings the cool nights and man was it cool! But again the Staging Lanes were full of tough Streeters from all over Sydney chomping at the bit to crack it down the Sydney Dragway quarter mile.

They were all trying for that perfect .000 reaction time however the good news for those thinking of coming out next week is it did not go off so it will increase to over $800 for the next Race for Real event! Make sure you get out here and have a go at getting amongst the dollars!

Top of the list this week went to David Matosevic in his tough 302 Windsor powered Cortina who banged out a .003 light just before the end of the competition at 8.56pm !!!

Cory Yeats was holding that top spot up until then but thanks to David's last minute ditch his .004 reaction time got pushed down to second place!

Rounding out the top three for this week was Milad Farah who pulled out a .005 reaction time driving his mate Charlie Bazouni's LX Torana... I am sure he will buy Charlie and beer or two with his winnings... right Milad?

I just love wondering throught he staging lanes (yeah I know I am supposed to be working) checking out the variety of tough and neat cars and bikes that are getting around Sydney

Here's one that certainly caught my eye (and everyone else's I am sure!) and Richardo's Lime Green 393C XY went hard too running well into the elevens! .

Speaking tough XY's Ante Miletic's GT Fairmont Shaker is a regular here at Sydney Dragway and even picked up an interview on the return road...

... and we never get sick of watching to run 10 second quarters either!

Our resident fashion guru Steve "Wombat" Brown showing off the latest Sydney Dragway uniform ... Nice one Wombie!

Speaking of fashion statements we even had a pair of matching Focus' ... or is that Focii??? hmmm.

Mark Walmsley had his trick looking 11 second F100 out for a few skids.

Another tough Turbo Falcon is John Houlders BA runnning 10.0 last night!

Showing the Drag Strip is not just forn the regular Cars and Bikes Russell was out there running low 14s in his Patrol!

Just when you thought all VL's were 6 cylinder turbos Jason Roberts shows up in his 5.0L version and ran a couple of 10.1's !!!

Lee Roy Camilleri's Capri is impressive in spite of having a Chev in it!

Wally Hosta was one of the many of our 2 wheeled friends who braved to coolish (yeah I know it was freezing!) conditions.

... and just to prove there was more than one here is Rick Griffiths on his GSXR1000!!!

This is how we are used to seeing Mick Brasher's Corolla ... as usual he had the whole place fogged in!

... and sometimes not everything goes to plan but I am sure Brent will be back to have another shot on the burnout pad!
