29th SEP 2010 - Wednesday night action was hot until the wet stuff came!
Everything was looking good at Sydney Dragway and set for another night of racing, even though it was threatening everywhere it was dry as bone until a cold front came outa nowhere and dampened precedings ... however the 160+ enthusiastic racers still managed to get some laps down the track.

Jeff Vella made short work of the Reaction Time competition posting a .001 to lead the pack and take home the major prize of $300!

Just to show the car guys that the bike guys can get in amongst the dollars too ... and .006 from Russel Thomas on his GSX1400 was good for second place!

Speaking of bikes ... this gets the 'What Tha' award for this week ... yes all those batteries means it's an electric powered machine... John put the engine down as a 1 Armature 144V ... not sure what that means but it is interesting!

Biggest tyres of the night went to Phil Azzopardi and his 434 cubic inch Torana!

Meanwhile back in the Reaction Time Competition, Arthur Senior nailed third spot with a stout .009 in his neat 400 Chev powered HG ...

George Tambourantzis had (one of) his XY GTs out for a run and took his mate George, yes I know two Georges, two GT's and his initails are GT ... this is nearly another "What Tha!" ... anyhow George (either one) took advantage of the new ANDRA rules allowing passengers in street cars at our Race for Real events and it is proving to be very popular.
So there you have it another Race for Real Wednesday and even thought the wet stuff tried to put a damper on things there was still plenty of action ... the one good thing is the Reaction Time Jackpot didn't go off so you all have another shot at the $1050 next week!
For more pics check out the Photo Gallery ... Until next week please take care on the roads and remember Street Racing is NOT Drag Racing!
