“ Racing For A Cure, A ¼ Mile At A Time”
When Martin Stevenson contacted us about helping his daughter raise funds for Cancer Council NSW, the only answer would be YES!!
Martin’s daughter has recently finished treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is fortunately now clear of cancer and doing well. Hopefully she will now be able to get on with being 21 and enjoy a long and happy life. She has been an ANDRA licensed racer and fan of drag racing since she was 16 and Martin is a regular and keen racer.
Most people these days are all too aware of how common cancer is becoming but until it affects your immediate family/friends, you don’t realise how important, and big, a part the Cancer Council plays in helping you cope with what your family is going through.
Martin is keen to support/fundraise for the Cancer Council and Sydney Dragway want to help. They are holding a charity raffle at the 2013 Day of the Drags 2nd-3rd March. Some of the prizes you could win are:
“Fast Track Drag Racing Experience”
"Signed photo collage of the Black Widow Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster"
"32 Ford Hot Rod Pedal Car Body" - Donated by EF-Composites/Wild Willys Hot Rod & Customs
“Powerplus Racing Fuel vouchers - 3 x $100" - Donated by Focused Solutions
Ticket Price $5.00ea
Purchase tickets before the event by contacting Martin or Leah at Focused Solutions Pty Ltd PH: (02) 4355 4300
Or
At “Day of the Drags” 2-3rd March from one of friendly ticket sellers or come and see us in the pits, just look for the Powerplus/Get Focused tent.
Please help us raise as much funds as possible which will help the Cancer Council continue doing the great work they do and get closer to finding a cure. Goodluck!
