12 12 12 Race 4 Real
Well it was the 12th day of the 12th month 2012 and will all the hype of what might happen on that date didn't really matter as all we cared about was having some fun on the Sydney Dragway drag strip in what turned out to be fantastic night of off street racing with over 600 runs going down the track and 11 tough burnouts and Dave D Stunts McKenna going crazy on one wheel as usual!
The good news for those that did not make it this week is the Reaction Time Jackpot did NOT go off! So that means a Perfect Light next week will net you around $700! Wouldn't that be great just before Christmas!
![]() Rick conway went oh so close to taking home the Jackpot money on his Nightrod with a .001 light but still earned himself $300 for his trouble! |
![]() Joe Sorbello was out playing again as he does everytime the gates are open at Sydney Dragway and managed a .004 reaction time that held on for second place and $200. |
![]() Jummy Karanfilovski rounded out the top three with .006 in his Clubsport. |
![]() Matt Dymock's 454 powered '68 Nova looks righ at home on the Sydney Dragway quarter mile .... nice! |
![]() Ross Bielby had his tough small block powered Cortina out for a play went 11.0 in process ... yet another tough Sydney Streeter going hard on the Drag Strip! |
![]() Marco Mitic brought his street driven 13B Powered RX3 down for and squirt and went 10.01 at a massive 134.07 mph!!! Thats over 215 kays in 400 metres that pretty stout in anyones language! |
![]() And as we have said on many occasions there is always plenty of variety at a Hi-Tec Oils Race 4 Real Wednesday and Alex Wong's 135i Beemer went low 13s all night! |
![]() This week we had a special Burnout night with 11 super tough burnouts and you know Simbad has to be a part of that testing out his new LS1 power plant in the tow track. |
![]() Kevin Mackie brought The Flying Brick out and filled the burnout pad with Blue smoke! |
![]() Sabrina Patmore was going great guns in the VR until she noticed things were getting a little warm ... turns out it blew a power steering hose which caught the Sound deadining under the bonnet on fire ... as usual the Sydney Dragway Safety Crew were onto it in a flash and got out quickly! |
| So there you have it the second last Hi-Tec Oils Race 4 Real Wednesday of the year ... For more Photos from this event VISIT OUR PHOTO GALLEY HERE thanks to Cackling Pipes Photography. Remember next week a perfect light will get you nearly 700 bucks which would come inhandy just before Christmas ... until then please take care on the roads and we will see you at the track soon. |
