20 OCT 2011 - 180 Racers + over 800 Runs = Awesome Night!

Wednesday was a beautiful sunny Spring Day which turned into a nice mild evening and once again Sydney Dragway was packed full of Off Street racers enjoying the awesome conditions at this weeks Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real!

The event ran smoothly all night with most racers gettting 8 or more runs down the track which made for a lot of happy campers both on the track and in the stands as the guys from Hi Tec Oils had plenty of give aways going on over the evening. The good news for those that weren't here is the Reaction Time Jackpot did NOT go off so that means the Jackpot will be in excess of 1000 dollars next week!!!

And don't forget if you are thinking of having a go and live just a little too far way to get here on a Wednesday night we have the Hi Tech Oils Sunday Street Meets starting this Sunday the 23rd October.

Alex Penklis went oh so close to snagging the Reaction Time Jackpot when he hit .001 light on his Truimph but still went home with $300 for his trouble!

David Muscat came along a little later and also missed the Jackpot by one thousandths of a second but as Alex did it first David's .001 was only good enough for second place!

There was a lot of bikes out this week so it's no wonder we had two of them in the top three and Andrew Bowman's .002 was good for third spot in this tough round of the competition!

Strike Me Pink! Well thats what GMH called it back in the Seventies (yes i do remember the Seventies!) and Adam Giardini's 355 ci LJ certainly was striking!

Speaking of striking Ron Camenzuli's 427 Camaro is very pleasing to the eye!

Matthew Pech's Orange XR6 Ute sure stands out in the crowd as well!!!

Daniel Nicastri showed up in his 350 Chev powered Torana and did a few launches and then let it have its head and ran a tough 9.93 @ 136 mph (220 kays!) so it off to the chassis shop for a Roll Cage !!!

Alysha Teale brings "HER HQ" out for a run at every opportunity and as the badge in the Grill suggests there is 383 cubes of Chevy under the bonnet!

There were neat Street Machines everwhere you looked and Andrew Strogylos' Jewel Green XY was as neat as they get.

Jason Farrugia' XY "Faker" was stunning... looking and sounding every bit the part of the real thing!

Jason D'Ambra in his Nissan was just one of many of our compact guys out fogging in the Start Line...

... and Luca Campanari even managed to fog himself in!!

As we said a the top of this report there were a heap of guys and girls out here enjoying the mild conditions on their bikes and Irena Saric gives us the "Thumbs Up" on her GSXR Suzuki.

Kenneth Brockoff's very tough 11 second EH is just another example of the many neat Street Machines running around Sydney and rocking up to the Hi Tec Oils Race 4 Real events every Wednesday Night!

And yes there was BURNOUTS and Darrin certanily gave his Falcon Ute a good workout on the Hi Tec Oils Burnout Pad ... Remember we do it all again this Sunday. Gates open 10:00am off street racing from 11:00am till approx 4:30pm then is Burnouts until we finish around 5 ish!!!
