18 OCT 2011 - It was warm but the Racing was HOTTER!

With all sorts of wind and rain on the Friday the decision was made to cancel Friday's Qualifying as the outlook was getting better all the time for Saturday and with three qualifiers scheduled everyone would have plenty of track time to get dialed in. As it turned out Saturday turned into a glorious sunny day and the action at Round Three of the NSW Championship Series was hotter than ever.

The day ran like clockwork and finished ahead of schedule, the only downside of the day was when Robyn Hines got pitched off her Harley and landed heavily in the other lane. Robyn suffered broken left Humerus (upper arm) but is well on the way to recovery and looking to go even faster when she returns to the track.

Greg Fowler had the GXP on rails Top Qualifying with a 6.968 and going all the way to a win in Top Sportsman also taking home the special Colin Soleiman Memorial Trophy.

Brett White kicked his ol' man out of the seat and showed him how it's done with a win in Timic Hot Rod Supplies Modified Eliminator ... however Brett has a new Dragster on the way so dad can have his Altered back!

Elise Taylor went all the way to the Final of Pro Comp Electronics Super Sedan where she met up with Neil Constantinou (far lane) however the Red Torana got there first in a very close race.

There were so many close races over the event and Wilclean Services Super Gas was no exception when Joe Catanzariti just held on for the win over Michael Stivala (far lane) with a 9.952 to Michael's 9.957!!!

Robert Axisa took out the Screamin' Eagles Bracket on his Dyna Superglide

Darryl Walford had a trip into the Gravel Trap earlier in the day but came back for a strong win in High Performance World Supercharged Outlaws running consistant sixes all day.

Adam Attard made it to the Semis in the tough Top Sportsman Bracket in his high stepping Big Block powered Torana.

Sean Mifsud was one happy camper running his first ever 5 second pass in the Elite Oils Camaro ... and just to show it was no fluke Paul Cannuli got in it and ran another 5 being his first too!!!

Here is Robyn Hines seconds before she found herself on the track in the other lane ... BTW she has already got the boys to check the bike and it is good to go so guess it will not be long before we see her back out doing what she loves!!!
